Be there by 11am to avoid all the crowds. Lunch is served in the Windjammer starting at 11.30 - with any luck you will be in time for opening if you have done all your cruise documents online before arrival.

Glad to hear that someone else is sailing on the Indy on the 13th. We are staying overnight in Southampton and intend being at check-in about 11am, hoping to board resonably quickly. According to the RCI website for on-line check in - it's 1.30pm, but thats when most people are going to arrive, so hoping to beat the rush!

hi ninsim, you pay your money you take your chance nowadays, problem is everybody else has got the same idea, it is possible to get aboard early,of course it is.but a hell of a lot of people go early to try and avoid the coaches, therefore you could be stood about anyway
good luck, have a lovely cruise, and hope to see your review when you return...michael.

On our last RCI cruise we could get on board but weren't allowed into our cabins until much later so as said in previous replies - you can go for a bite to eat but you will have your cabin bags in tow!

We just done indy cruise in jan. our set sail papers said to board at 1.00pm but we arrived earlier (no traffic!) and we boarded about 11' no queues ,on the ship within ten minutes. The rooms arent available till 1pm but windjammer is open for food and gives you time to have a wonder round the ship and get some nice 'no people' photos!
Keep you hand luggage light as you have to carry that around with you until the rooms are opened. Get to level four at the front of the ship where the helipad is, great photo ops there! King of the world!

Thanks Mike,
We are also staying in hotel overnight, so will also just go straight to ship after booking out in the morning. Only a week to go, fingers crossed now that the weather is OK for travelling down on the previous Sunday.
