Whilst we are on our Cruise on the Independence of the Seas it will be our Anniversay so we want a "Special" Meal on that night.
Any recommendations for any of the Fine Dining Restraunts please?
Also are there any Photos anywhere of them, we cant find any.
Cheers

Hi, I don't have pictures but both chops and portofino are good venues for 'that' special meal. Chops is an american stake house, Portofino is italian. Both have good menus but they don't change during your voyage. They both offer a better wine list. Alround better, more intermate service and food. Worth the cover charge.

Try Beyondships index.html They have lots of info on most ships, all easy to access and even including things like the daily news-sheet, etc ... it's a great source
Cheers,
Lynn
PS I've just checked and yes, it has photos of the speciality restaurants too

We visited chops, on our trip last week, and it was fantastic. The food was the best ive ever had, and the service was fantastic. Its called a steakhouse, but ont think themed steakhouse! Its beautifully done. Very relaxed and intimate. The mississippi mud pie was to die for! Theres a $30 cover charge for each person, but for a one of special, well worth it.that doesnt include wine!

Difficult to say....the main dining room can be very noisey, and if your on the early sitting you feel rushed and pushed out. Chops the tables yours for as long as you want it.
The food in the main dining room, is very good and a very good selection and quality, the desserts are disappoiting, they seem to be very gelatine based mousses etc, and they end up all tasting the same just in different colours! From our one meal in chos, the desserts we had were fantastic, proffessionally made larger sizes and presenting really well.not sure if you ate in chops you could find enough different to eat but as a one off.....fantastic, cant recommened it highly enough.sorry about spelling im on ipad cant get used to touch keyboard!
