    Hi Karen,

We've just come back off MSC Opera and we had the All Inclusive (it was free because we booked early) If we had paid for 2 adults and 2 children then we would have spent about the same on PAYG. When however I reworked the figures on just what my husband & I drank and what we would have paid for on PAYG then we were well in front.

I suppose you would be as well writing a list of what you expect to drink per day and then pricing it up using MSC bar menus: https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=1cdc3...D9%21413&sff=1

If you are are higher or about the same as the AI cost then it is worth doing, if it is under the price per day then it is probably not worth it ~ remember to add the 15% grat to the total price per day as it is this figure you need to compare to the AI figure.

We are all atheists about most of the gods that humanity has ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further.

Just back from 8 day Opera cruise and for the AI package for 2 parents and 3 kids (albeit one was over 18) it was going to cost >£1000
As we aren't big drinkers so we bought various packages on board (the non alcoholc cocktail, ice cream drinks and soda packages) and purchased coffee, alcohol and wine as required and it was only around £500 so not worth it for us
Having said that the weather was very poor. If it had been hot and we were drinking on deck at the pool the bar bill may have been much higher
    Cheers

I have cruised On MSC Poesia & although I did not take the AI package, I would suggest that its probably a good idea, as the drink prices on board were horrendous, around £8 for a pint of beer, £16 cheapest bottle of wine plus 15% service charge. A friend (female) had the drinks package £330 & she got through that in 7 days without any trouble. If you had a bottle of wine & a couple of drinks each day that will set you back £35/£40 per day. As has been said in other posts, take a look at how much you drink & cost it from there.
