Saga Ruby ~ (110 night World Cruise) passengers 655
Queen Victoria ~ 2014 passengers
Arcadia ~ (82night World cruise) 1996 passengers
Queen Elizabeth ~ (103 night World cruise) 2092 passengers
Balmoral ~(109 night World cruise) 1340 passengers
Black Watch ~ (77nts South America) 804 passengers

Obviously not all 8901 berths will be filled but it's still a hell of a lot of people arriving and being security checked and boarded. I'd like to be a cabbie that day ;)

And they are just the ones that are leaving that day - plus all the ones that will be arriving back in port at the end of a cruise.
Logistic nightmare, re-fuelling, re-vitalling, cleaning, checking, pumping out etc, etc...............

Certainly glad I wont be queuing to get to the terminals - there will be some
money earned in Soton that day for sure.

On the other hand what a treat for all the photographers who live in that area.
Guess there will be a few snapping away.

Thanks Edna, just hope the snow does'nt appear before then dont mind the cold I can handle that.

For those of you heading to Southampton on 5/1 to see the ships, Blue Funnel Ferries are running harbour tours and a special 'sailaway' cruise to see the QE, QV etc.....
