    santa lives !!

we're total Christmas fiends in our house,on a clear night you can see our house for miles.:D it takes my hubby 3 days to decorate the house, roof, walls, sheds etc. we LOVE Christmas and the kids excitement makes it amazing. i usually work New Year and am off over Christmas, but actually have both off this year, though i'm not a typical scot and am not fussed about Hogmanay.still,i'm sure i'll manage a baileys or three.:p

Unhappy My small tribute to Ocean Village Two -now taken out of service

Early last year we boarded Ocean Village Two on Jan.2nd.
to find all the Christmas decorations still in place.

It did much to dress up an otherwise unexciting interior decor.

Christmas tree at the top of the Village Square staircase..

These photos bring back that great feeling on board!

Christmas garlands decorate the entrance to Waterfront Restaurant on Deck 7

All Ocean Village People shall miss her..

We will be on Aurora for Christmas and New Year. Getting so excited now.

Wonder whether Christmas Day will be a formal night. Anyone know?

    Xmas at Sea

We are spending Christmas and New Year on Equinox. Departing Heathrow on 23Dec (As long as the BA cabin crew dont strike) Then 11 night from Fort Lauderdale departing on the 24th. No Xmas Food Shopping, No Xmas Decorations to put up at home (or to take down in Jan). No Cooking.

First time we have done this

    Cant Wait

    PS

If the cabin crew do strike it Celebrity's problem as we booked a fly cruise

We're booked on Costa Luminosa over xmas going round UAE from Dubai... Very excited as it's our first christmas cruise...! :D:D:D Originally wanted the Caribbean but had left it too late to get a reasonably priced trip...
Anyone else going on this cruise? Also, does anyone know if Costa put on a good celebration over xmas...?
Finally, if anyone had any tips for UAE that would be great, it would be good to know a bit more about the etiquette Thanks.

We did Christmas in the Carribean a few years ago. The ship (Oriana) was fantastically decorated, kids singing carols in the Atrium, Santa coming down the chimney, the Headliners theatre co. put on a brilliant panto-Cinderella (the ugly sisters called Oriana & Aurora!)-all in all quite brilliant. The somewhat bizarre thing was Carols being played on steel drums and temperatures in the high 20s on Xmas day!!
