It's only 36 days 'til Christmas!

Ho ho ho....

The season of turkey, tinsel & mince pies is just around the corner

So how do you feel about it? Are you a budding Santa Claus or do you feel like an Ebenezer Scrooge?

Whilst I think the majority of people look forward to it from year to year, there are a few that shudder at the mere thought of it. Maybe it's the last minute shopping chaos, or the mile long queues at the supermarket, all the cooking on the day, then keeping grandchildren entertained... Bah humbug! Need I go on...?

So you can see why some people prefer to get away from it all and enjoy all the trimmings, but none of the stress, on board a cruise ship!

So we'd like to know:

Is anyone booked to go on a Christmas cruise this year?

Have you ever been on one? Would you recommend it?

Or do you prefer a traditional Christmas at home...

2007 Family Christmas Cruise

"This year we decided to take the family on a cruise for Christmas. We thought it would be better than purchasing a bunch of gifts the kids wouldn't remember."

I did Thomson's Red Sea Magic a few Xmas's ago. We certainly enjoyed it. Personally I'd rather go away every Xmas if I could. (Scrooge lives!)

done a princess cruise signapore to australia which took in xmas & new year, they really pulled out all the stops decorating all three floors of atrium for kids to receive presents from santa then carol singing at night.new years eve [my 50th birthday] was also set up brilliantly with champagne being given out to bring in the bell;s.ship had many brits and aussies on board so it really was a special occasion and to top it off you woke up to brilliant sunshine next morning.

Unhappy some day!!

I've never been on holiday for Christmas or New Year but would love to. Just think meeting Santa on Christmas day, spending hogmanay onboard then bringing in the Bells with everyone, music, drinking and dancing till the wee small hours brilliant you never know one day.... sigh.....

We are going away again for Christmas and New Year from Dover to the Canaries. This is our second festive cruise and if it is as good as the previous ones it will be really enjoyable.
