1 good thing is that if anyone abuses the package by getting smashed every night, they'll take them off the package, and if (as happened to one of our party) you catch a bug that was already on the ship causing you not to able to drink they will re-emburse any unused days. and you can sign up for the package at customer services desk on the first day.

Do you have to take the package for the whole of the trip or can you purchase it daily for eg if one was going ashaore and spent the biggest part of the day off the ship then you wouldn't neccesarily drink very much at all so by being able to purchase daily would be so much better.

Hi, Iunderstand you have to take the package for thecruise duration.Although on the easter cruise 4days are at sea! My tipple is usually $6.50 and dinner wine at the usual inflated price i still think the packages are good,

Thank you for the info I would probably only drink maximum 4 glasses of white wine and lemonade as I am not a drinker I prefer a cup of tea have you any idea how much a wine and lemonade would cost, perhaps it would be cheaper for me to pay as I go.

Tea and cloudy lemonade is free throughout the day, 4 glasses of wine will cost you about $25 and you definitely cannot opt in and out of the drinks package on a daily basis. You pay for the full length of cruise only.

If you purchase an alcohol drinks package, do you still get the 15% service charge, charged to your onboard account for every drink consumed?

Thks Wilba, I still think the all inclusive package with Thomsons is the better deal as you get all drinks inclusive, alcohol, non-alcohol, cocktails, cappachino coffee etc and if you get package free with an early booking it's a brilliant deal.
