Saga will be calling it's latest [and biggest] addition to the fleet 'Saga Sapphire'.
The currently named 'Bleu de France' will receive a multi-million pound facelift during the winter months before the official launch in March next year.
Built in 1982, the 37,300-ton ship has been bought from Croisieres de France for an estimated £37 million. She was given a thorough refurb in 2009 costing £27 million.
Saga are yet to reveal what to expect on board but we do know that passenger capacity is to be reduced from a possible maximum of 1,158 to just 706.
Robin Shaw, Saga Cruising chief exec said: "I'm delighted to announce the name of the newest addition to our fleet. The addition of Saga Sapphire will offer Saga customers even more opportunities to discover a range of new and exciting ports of call."
