Post New website launched for Southampton cruisers

A useful website has just been launched which promises to provide information on Southampton for cruise passengers and crew travelling from the city.

CruiseSouthampton.com contains tourism and travel advice for cruise passengers, and enables users to search, plan, save and share information on the city and all the cruise ships that sail from it.

Major events which are due to take place in Southampton will also be included, as well as cruise lists for 2011 and 2012, and terminal maps and guides.

Port director of Associated British Ports Southampton, Doug Morrison, said: “In 2011, more than 1.4 million passengers will pass through the port on 360 cruise ships – more than ever before in the port’s history. With every cruise ship estimated to contribute £1.5 million to the local and regional economy, the increase in the popularity of sailing from Southampton is great news for the city and regional area.”

Or should it read, a new website because most cruisers have to sail from Southampton,All the arguments about poor(in every case) Liverpool and now there's massive talks about Portsmouth, But i suppose we will still here up North make them wealthier, and have to travel hundreds of miles...

I have registered on the Southampton website.

I hope the Greenwich terminal comes to fruition- it's just down the road from us.
