Post P&O has taken delivery of Adonia

The latest addition to the fleet is now in the sunny Bahamas for a refit. She'll then make her way to Southampton for her inaugural celebrations in a couple of weeks.

At 30,000 tonnes and carrying just 710 passengers, 'adults-only' Adonia promises to take passengers to many lesser visited, off the beaten track, ports of call, yet is big enough to provide an extensive range of modern on board facilities.

“Adonia will be the jewel in the P&O Cruises crown and will celebrate all those things our regular passengers love about cruising with us – a classic dance floor, Crow’s Nest observation lounge, formal nights, classical music recitals, guest speakers, silver service dining and a dedicated card room. Loyal cruisers and those new to cruising alike will be charmed by the refined P&O Cruises experience Adonia will offer,” continued Carol Marlow.

No casino planned for her though so not so modern. Apparently you are only expected to play bridge whilst sipping your G&T and berating the serva.... er crew

good luck to her but a tad too pricey for me and with no casino I would not be able to indulge my only vice

    Hi there!
I like all sizes of ships from big whoppers to tiny tiddlers. Ventura is the biggest we've been on so far but I'd like to give Oasis or Allure of the Seas a whirl someday and the new Royal Princess (coming out in 2013) looks lovely! Can't wait to have a tour of Adonia in a few weeks time.

I'm on the Adonia tour as well on 22nd May. Looking forward to it. I normally like the big, shiny ships, will be interesting to have a look... Jo

Yes Jo, I agree the big shiny ships are fun! I forgot to add Celebrity & Cunard to my wishlist to try someday too.

Oh, my! So many gorgeous ships.... so little time...and DEFINITELY (in my case),...not enough money. *sigh*
