    P&O Launch Competition For Anti-Cruisers!

P&O Cruises have launched a competition they have described as controversal.

The competition is for people that are anti-cruisers and the top 6 winner’s will be sent on a nine-day Pacific Islands cruise, their experience’s on board will be filmed. All they have to do is upload a video explaining why they are anti-cruise.

P&O Cruises said the competition is designed to overcome the believed misconceptions people have about cruising.

P&O Cruises is the oldest cruise line in the world starting back in 1837 and consists of a fleet of seven the newest being Adonia launched in May 2011:

These are the ships that make up the P&O fleet: Adonia -Acadia -Aurora -Azura -Oceana -Ventura -Oriana.

Launching in March 2015 will be P&O’S new 141,000 tonne ship built by an Italian shipbuilder.

???According to Travelweekly.com this statement was made “We know from our research that some people hesitate to take a cruise because they are concerned about getting sea sick,” said Jenny Lourey, senior vice president of Carnival Australia. “Others think they’ll be bored and there are some who don’t want to spend days getting to a destination. They are exactly the kind of people we want to enter this competition.” ”the campaign will change people’s perception of cruising by dispelling common myths. We are confident that once we put people with such doubts on a cruise they’ll change their perception of cruising,” she added.

What do you make of the competition – is it a good idea?

Have you been on a P&O Cruise?

There seems to be one flaw in this idea: Why would anti-cruisers enter a competition to win a cruise? Duh!

Maybe the competition will attract people who will pretend to be anti-cruising, but secretly want to go on a cruise?

Maybe there may well be some who have never cruised who will enter.
    Many more who have, will.
But, whoever enters, will not have to be camera shy. I never liked 'Big Brother' on tv.
But think 'Big Brother' on the high seas would be hilarious.

No, I'm not entering, but good luck to all who do.

Yes, cruised many times with P&O.....don't want to win this one though and knowing my luck I would
