Princess Cruises has announced that it will give travellers plenty of opportunities to experience the flavour and culture of Hawaii over the coming years
The operator has scheduled more than 50 sailings to the island group in the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons, departing from Los Angeles and San Francisco.
During their time at sea, guests will get to enjoy a special aloha spirit programme featuring a range of themed activities, including ukulele and hula dance lessons and Kona coffee tasting sessions.
Princess Cruises will also serve up a range of Hawaiian-style dishes, such as red snapper ceviche, caramelised Maui onion soup and grilled tiger shrimp kebabs with mango lime relish.
Jan Swartz, the operator executive vice president, said: "Our Hawaii sailings offer a wonderful way to enjoy both the spirit of the islands and opportunity to unwind with a leisurely ocean voyage.
And our onboard programmes will give them a true taste of Hawaii even as they sail.
