Topic: Cruisers invited to vote for favourite lines, ships and destinations

Seasoned cruisers are being invited to air their views in the Cruise International Awards 2011.

According to Cruise International magazine, the awards programme is the first of its kind to be entirely based on votes cast by the industry & customers.

Travellers can choose their favourite nominees in categories such as Cruise Line of the Year, which includes the likes of Royal Caribbean, Fred.Olsen, P & O Cruises, Cunard Line and many others.

The programme is also seeking to find the best new ship of 2010-11, with Disney Dream, Celebrity Silhouette, Norwegian Epic and Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas all making the shortlist.

Voters can choose from options such as Dubrovnik, Sydney, Barbados and New York in the destination category, while Crystal Cruises Stieg Larsson tours in Stockholm and Holland America Line's Icelandic pony rides have been nominated for the shore excursion award.

Voting will be open until August 28th 2011 and those who take part will be entered into a competition to win a holiday with MSC Cruises.
