P&O Cruises offers free return travel from home to ship plus up to 20% discount on 2012 early bookings

P&O Cruises is offering free return travel from home to ship and discounts of up to 20% on 2012 and 2013 bookings made between September 1 and November 30, 2011.

This ‘Early Booking Spectacular’ offers passengers a more inclusive holiday option with no additional travel costs, as domestic flights, coach travel or valet parking (Cruise Connections) will be complimentary on bookings made during this three month period.

The discounts, of up to 20%, are available on cruises from the 2012/13 brochure (for full list see editor’s notes) on all seven ships in the P&O Cruises fleet.

The free Cruise Connections are offered on cruises of seven nights and more, enabling passengers to receive a discount of up to 20% plus a choice of one of the following:

• Free valet car parking in Southampton – saving up to £311 per car*

• Free return coach transfers to/from Southampton – saving up to £124pp (Glasgow)

• Free return domestic flights to/from Southampton (including coach transfers in Southampton) from Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester or Leeds Bradford – saving up to £150pp (Glasgow departure)**

• Free return flights for Adonia Mediterranean fly-cruises from London Gatwick or Manchester airport – saving up to £150pp (cruise D216 departing October 19)

• Free airport parking on Adonia Mediterranean fly-cruises and Ventura Caribbean fly-cruises – saving up to £100 per car (London Gatwick airport)

• Free one-way airport coach transfer to or from Southampton on selected fly-cruises – saving up to £72pp (Glasgow departure)

P&O Cruises managing director, Carol Marlow, said: “Never before have we offered such a comprehensive booking package for our customers, transporting them from their home town to the ship at no extra expense.

Might be good for those with a long distance to travel but for us we would just prefer a good price ...

So where do we find these bargains, only on the P & O website?

I wonder if Cunard are going to be offering anything good from September onwards? Not sure what to do, we are interested in the QV on 21st July to the Med next year or QE 27 July around the british isles. With the olympics being on and all and also all the prices being fixed now, wonder how the early bookings are doing? Our dilemma is that there are 4 of us. Book now and pay the full price, or hope for a deal (and maybe even get 2 cabins on a special?) Missed out on the free parking that ended at the end of May for bookings.

After our terrible experience on the Arcadia if P&O were to offer us a free cruise we would NOT take it.

The flights to Newcastle sound good....or even the coach, although we prefer the train. If we flew, we'd still have to take 2 trains from N/C.
