    Regent Introduces Personalised Keepsake Book

    Official Press Release

KEEPSAKE BOOK TAILORED TO INDIVIDUAL REGENT EXPERIENCE

Southampton, 25 August 2011 – Regent Seven Seas Cruises has upped the ante on cruise passage documents by introducing an elegantly designed book that provides guests with customised travel details and comprehensive information on their upcoming voyage.

Each personalised keepsake book is tailored specifically to the guest’s Regent experience and contains all reservation information for their cruise, flights and transfer information including e-ticket schedules, shore excursions, pre- and post-cruise hotel stays and land programs and any other supplemental items booked.

“Our continual pursuit to enhance customer experiences is ongoing, and Cruise Vacation Documents are an important part of the pre-cruise experience,” said Graham Sadler, Managing Director UK and Europe. “We are delighted to introduce these comprehensive documents that offer a richer, more personalised content.”

The new Cruise Vacation Documents book is divided into three easy-to-use reference sections:

    · Section I: All reservation information including Cruise Itinerary, Suite Information, Travel Checklist, Luggage Service, Guest Information Form and Seven Seas Society status. The guests’ agency of record information is prominently featured in this section, including all contact details, highlighting the travel agency as the primary point of contact.

    · Section II: Information and detailed descriptions of Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ Free Unlimited Shore Excursions and Regent Choice Shore Excursions that have been booked in advance or are available for booking. Information on hotel and land programs is provided within this section on separate dedicated pages.

    · Section III: The Onboard Experience offers a wealth of information to allow guests to take full advantage of onboard features such as the specialty restaurants, Canyon Ranch SpaClub® and a host of services and amenities offered aboard ship.

Pre-printed luggage tags for guests will also be included in the back of the book.

In addition, a Final Cruise Summary will be emailed 14 days prior to departure and will include the passenger’s final air schedule, any shore excursions, pre- or post-cruise land programmes and dining reservations that have been booked, or changes made, since the printing of their Cruise Vacation Documents. This final summary, as with the document book itself, will be sent to the travel agency unless elected that the documents be sent to the client directly.

The line’s new Cruise Vacation Documents will debut with Seven Seas Navigator 31 August departure; Seven Seas Mariner 3 September sailing and Seven Seas Voyager 19 September voyage. Going forward, the Cruise Vacation Document will be sent 45 days prior to the cruise.

During the next several months, Regent Seven Seas Cruises will make enhancements to the Cruise Vacation Documents, including a “Trigger E-mail” notification to travel agents that their clients’ documents have been mailed, which will begin in mid-to-late September. And, dining reservations will be included in the documents, starting in November.

According to Sadler, future enhancements will include biographies and photos of senior officers, information on guest lecturers and Spotlight theme cruises, as well as information on gala and special events held onboard, “…making the Cruise Vacation Documents a true keepsake of the Regent experience for each guest.”

OK, Regent are going for a USP, I'd settle for actually having tickets and travel information for our cruise which begins in two weeks. Yes, we have tried to contact Cruise dot, but haven't, as yet, received the courtesy of a return call. Yes, I am concerned that the holiday booking has been cocked up. Judith

I remember when Cunard did those all in a very nice leather embossed wallet...

I selected "Go Green" on the website for our recent QE cruise thus had to print off the luggage labels and seleotape them together to strengthen them! reminded me of a DIY "Blue Peter" project "here's something I prepared earlier"

As the previous post mentioned, that Cunard done this and came in a wallet, which I still have. Since most people now have a laptop and printer, the lines are saving a lot of money on getting there passengers to do all the paperwork printed. This used to be a highlight of the expectations running up to the cruise.

    Right on Edna.
Hell, you shellout many thousands and you are now expected to stuff your printer with paper and ink to print out 60 pages plus the luggage tags and then they ask you to staple them.
Like, who walks around with a stapler. I went the cello tape many ttimes as I do not trust luggage being tossed via many hands to not rip off.
I did find a company in the States that makes plastic luggage tags for cruise ship tags and used in May on our last cruise. You just fold the 8 x 11 paper and slip inside .

As Regent have some of the smaller ships there is something that they could add to the book that used to be done in the past by the smaller ships - a passenger list. We used to find this very handy, and informative, and doesn't take up much paper when the ship only has 600-700 passengers.

Age does not bring wisdom. Often it merely changes simple stupidity into arrogant conceit. ;)

Thanks very much for your help Grace. I look forward to speaking to you next week. I think lack of communication was the main problem, but I'll still feel happier when I actually see the tickets. Judith
