QUOTE:
Daily Mirror blogger and cruise expert John Honeywell, better known as Captain Greybeard, has given his seal of approval to a recent Norwegian voyage on P&O Cruises newest ship Adonia.
He noted that weather conditions prevented a scheduled call at the port of Farsund, but said this blip on the journey didn't detract from a thoroughly enjoyable week
Captain Greybeard highlighted a number of activities and shore excursions available to cruisers visiting Tromso in Norway, such as a cable car ride at Mount Storsteinen and a trip to a wilderness centre that is home to 100 Alaskan huskies.
He also revealed that Polaria, an aquarium and museum, was a popular choice among his fellow passengers.
Another port of call on the Norwegian coast is Andalsnes, a small town surrounded by mountains where travellers can see Europe's tallest vertical cliff face, known as the Troll Wall, or Trollveggen.
The Daily Mirror writer took the opportunity to visit a vantage point offering views of the Stigfossen waterfall, which he described as "absolutely breathtaking"
