We love cruising but we also love going to Goa [every winter for 3/4 weeks]
so when in India do the Golden Triangle and then fly down to Goa and chill out
    you won,t be sorry.

    Indian visa

    Hello
    This is my first posting.
I am due to travel to India as part of a world cruise and have been sent details of the visa application via an agency.
How easy is it to obtain visas oneself and do I have to travel to London and queue at the Indian embassy?
    Thanks for any advice.

Hi Petal welcome to the forum, I did mine through PO, yes it is expensive but it saved us all the hassle and we had it returned without any fuss, you can do it yourself if you want to travel to London and join the queue, but I couldn't face it, also it depends on where you live. Which ship are you going on ? CG

    Hello CG
    Thank you for your reply.
I am going on Azura for the first time but have heard mixed reports so not sure whether or not will like it. We are still fans of P&O despite standards dropping on all the ships and have only yesterday returned from Arcadia.
Will probably use the agency recommended by P&O because I hate queueing!

Hiya Petal, We are going to India on our cruise, When we apply for our visa all we do is fill the application form online then send payment by card online, Then youneed to print your application forum of and send it with your passport in a registered envelope. approx £42 each.you do not need to go to Embassey

Hi Petal, WE did the 2008/11 world cruises with PO both on the Aurora , I didn't find the standard slipping on either of those, we had a wonderful time and wonderful itineries, the staff went out of their way to make sure we had a cruise full of memories , you are going on the 2013 , it's the Azura's first World cruise, we could even be joining you somewhere along the line. Hi Linda , we had to send a utility bill with our application in 2008 and if you are not British as in the case of my OH it became even more complicated, so I preferred PO to do it rather than risk a mistake and then be flown back home.CG

Hi Linda Just make sure, I knew people who did it themselves and went up to London for a lot cheaper than we paid, I see no reason you can't do it yourself. CG
