Smile Spa Treatments at sea -- How does everyone compare on price?

A cruise ship is the ideal place to unwind, relax and pamper. Which is why most, if not all, cruise ships have some kind of spa on board.

But of course all treatments carry a price tag, which can mount up if you're not careful.

So if you're one of those passengers [like me!], who enjoying having a massage, facial or manicure you may find this comparison chart interesting...

Do you visit the spa when you're on a cruise? Have you always received good value for money? Please share...

Use the thermal suite on Crown Princess every day for $190.00 for a couple, should have been $220.00
Nothing like laying on a hot bed with a book or sitting in the aromatherapy suite

These prices are not really very informative. I mean there are lots of different types of massages and different products are used. I work in a 5 star Spa so I know this for sure and a massage is not a matter of applying some oil and giving the client a quick rub down.
Many techniques are used and it can be very therapeutic and the staff are highly trained. We have masseuse s who are trained in Reiki. It also depends what products the Spa in question are are using. Some product are mega expensive so this makes the massage more expensive. We use Daniele de Winter of Monaco products and they are very very nice and far superior to say Molton Brown which we also used to use as a cheaper alternative treatment but now Molton Brown do not supply any longer to Spas . I think that the cruise lines in question will have different standards and different usage of finer products. Rather like having a glass of fine wine or a glass of plonk. Massages are meant to make you feel go so if you go away feeling like you are floating on air then it must have been worth it!

If you're that worried about the cost, should you be on that ship? We all know the more expensive brands are expensive in all areas.

Elemis was $38.00 for shower sharp a 300ml bottle I did not pack any shower gel as I expected a disperser of normal soap in the shower.
    It keeps your skin nice

Well! I got the most wonderful pedicure and ankle massage on Azura. Even the toe nail varnishing was done superbly.

The price? ...... Nothing. Hubby offered to do do it for me (shock...horror)
I was well and truly gobsmacked.

But, following my instructions I could not have had a better job done in the Beauty salon and spa.
First time in 43 years though
