'Lancashire, Newcastle especially Rosyth and Greenock'

We have been on many sailing from Rosyth with often about 60/70% Scots. What a treat instead of 80/90% Southeners. What a treat these cruisers are, also all the ones who fly from Scotland, well behaved and especially friendly.

I would plead for the wonderful ship 'Adonia' to have it's home port in Scotland or to always be a Fly/Cruise out of Glasgow or Edinburgh.

This ship, which used to be 'Swan Helenic's, Minerver11' has class not like the other large P & O ships which are far too large. Let Southampton keep the Jugernaughts of the sea, and give the people who want class what they appreciate.
I would love any P&O ship to sail from a Scottish port, particularly Aurora .

I can't agree though about Southampton sailing being mostly southern passengers. Last year our Southampton cruise had loads of Scots on board, mainly because it was right at the beginning of the Scottish summer holidays (end of June) the English holidays start at the end of July. Additionally, people travel to Southampton from all over the UK (and beyond).

Not very exciting are they? P&O are certainly not ground breakers in finding new ports.

Although we went with P&O and Aurora in June 2010 to the lovely port of Kotor which now seems well established on the cruise map, but we had already been there with the pathfinder Fred the year before where we tied up to the jetty and walked off the ship, unfortunately due to her size Aurora had to anchor with her stern about 50 feet from the jetty and we were boated in

    Hi all.
Just looking at the cruise itineraries on opening post.
    This would be my favourite,,,,,
    Adonia:

    D215N, 15 night Western Mediterranean cruise, October 7 - 22, 2012
Southampton, Alicante, Barcelona, Sete, Livorno, Alghero, Port Mahon, Gibraltar, La Coruna, Southampton.

It has a few of my favourites, but a new one must be Alicante,,,you could go on a day trip to Benidorm!!

Docked in Sete once, brilliant for an excursion to the Languedoc,,especially Carcassonne.

    Port Mahon,,,Great sail-in,and Gin distillery.

Barcelona?,,the best stop on the cruise.

I would change Gibraltar for Cadiz,,just to go to Seville or Jerez.
And i would change Livorno for La Spezia,,,you could go to Florence or one of the Cinque Terre towns.Santa Margarita or Portofino.

Liverpool to Liverpool would be even better.

If you could make up your own itinerary for a Med cruise which 5 ports would be a must do?
I have only looked at W Med.
