I picked this up today on cruisingmates.co.uk, from the SUN SENTINEL
MSC Poesia grounds in the Bahamas - South Florida Sun-Sentinel.com
Is this a case of typical Italian driving??

If I can't be SKIING then CRUISING is the next best thing
oh dear!.............
That's too bad. Shame the ship didn't have a glass bottom the passengers could've enjoyed watching the fish whilst they were waiting to be pulled off.
Now THAT is what I call a "oops moment!" What a silly boy!
When we cruised to Belize City I thought the guys in the Bridge were fantastic as they zig zagged through the reefs. What I also found amazing is that the sea bed was actually mapped to that extent. Apparently where we anchored the ship was only 6m from the sea bed - probably easier to ground a ship then you would think! Then again I know nothing about it!
Do you think there will be a massive fine for reef damage?- I seem to remember the QE2 had to pay a vast sum for damaging the Red Sea reef.
Jo.
