The number of cruise holidays passing through the Isle of Man is set to rise in the coming twelve months, according to reports.
Speaking to the Isle of Man Today, the Department of Economic Development with responsibility for tourism revealed a notable boost in cruise arrivals.
According to chief executive officer Colin Kniveton: "Forward bookings of scheduled cruise calls in 2012 and 2013 have revealed a promising and healthy upward trend."
"The Isle of Man continues to prove itself to be an attractive hub for cruise visitors," he added.
The rise in cruise holiday interest is likely to provide a welcome boost the Isle of Man economy.
Tourism in the region traditionally peaks around the annual International Isle of Man Tourist Trophy Race held for motorcyclists in May.
That could be set to change according to reports though, with 14 cruise liners expected to arrive in the port over the holiday season.
While visiting the Isle of Man, holidaymakers will be able to enjoy the picturesque beaches on offer in the region, along with historical sights like Peel Castle.
