Princess Cruises' UK director Paul Ludlow is hoping that a blog created by the firm will help give those on cruise holidays more of an opportunity to provide feedback.

The new blog, entitled Inspired to Cruise: A Year of Reasons to Get Away from the Everyday, will see different travellers share stories and pictures from their latest cruise holidays.

This initiative comes following the success of Princess Cruises' 50 Essential Experiences blog and is designed to give people a glimpse of the holiday experiences on offer.

The cruise company picked up numerous awards for the blog, which focused on the experiences of crews and passengers aboard the ships.

Commenting on the new blog,  Mr Ludlow said: "Princess passengers are always happy to share their personal stories about why they decided to cruise and also their personal experiences on board.

"This new blog gives our passengers the starring role as we share some of the most remarkable and inspiring stories."

This latest interaction in social media comes fresh off the back of Norwegian Cruise Lines move to launch a major Facebook campaign.

What social media do you use to find out about cruises? Would you like to see it used more or less?
