HAL disembark passenger(s) for non-attendance of muster drill

According to another cruise site, HAL disembarked a passenger or passengers on Sunday for non-compliance:
Overhead Bin - Cruise passenger booted off ship for skipping safety drill

I find it hard to believe that there is not more to it - no disrespect to you Britchic. If the passenger just said "I forgot" or "I fell asleep", they would be hard to disprove. It was perhaps someone with a mouth on them or some other reason combined with it IMO.

I agree...but it's a heck of a good incentive to attend the drill!

How about the traditional incentive of 'Life and Death'?

Now they need to extend the ban to talking, laughing and talking during the drill.

I remember when we were 'Ticked off' when we went to muster.
    Not happened for years now.

Time has come for more than Ticking off!

Yes I agree, although non-compliance suggests it was deliberate non-attendance. Apparently there is a thread on CC on the HAL forums but I haven't looked at it.

I don't know how they would know if you weren't there unless you were wandering around the ship at the time the drill was on. We didn't have to give our name when we went.............................................. ...............................................Car ol

It had to be more than just accidentally not appearing at muster. So far I bet we only know half the story. Some people have the attitude that rules are for everyone but them.

    Evening Hampshire Thorn

Why would the cruise line have to 'disprove' the excuse? Simple fact is that passenger did not attend a 'compulsory' drill.

    cheers
