A teenage dance star has revealed her life’s ambition as a performer is to work aboard a cruise ship when she grows up.
Ashlie Scarlett, aged 15 from Stoke-on-Trent, has quickly developed a reputation as one of the most talented solo dancers of recent times.
The last twelve months have seen the youngster pick top honours in the UK, World and European under-16 solo dance competitions.
Commenting on her versatility and success though, Ms Scarlett revealed her true ambitions for a career in dance: working on a cruise ship [full stop]
Speaking in an interview with The Staffordshire Sentinel, she said: "I did a mixture of street dance, the waltz and some cha cha. I was really pleased to win. In the future I would like to be a dancer on a cruise ship."
The comments should come as little surprise to cruise holiday fans though, given the quality of productions on offer aboard cruise holidays today.
Oceania Cruise Lines revealed earlier this week that its Riviera Cruise Ship would feature a special Andrew Lloyd Webber musical celebration.
What's been the best production you have seen on a cruise ship?
