Carnival Cruises' holiday fans could soon be in for a treat after the firm announced the completion of a large-scale makeover of its Carnival Spirit vessel.
The 2,124-passenger ship was taken in for the improvements a few weeks ago, with parent company Carnival Cruises keen to modernise the vessel.
These improvements include the introduction of flat-screen televisions in every cabin onboard as well as a new adult-only area on the ship.
Called Serenity, the new grown-ups location is set for Deck 9 of the boat and features large whirlpools, hammocks, chair and chaise lounges along with a full-service bar.
In addition to this, the ship will feature a new WaterWorks water park. This features the Green Thunder slide, which rises nearly 100 feet in the air.
These latest additions already feature on a number of Carnival Cruises' vessels, with the Carnival Spirit set to begin a tour of eight to 13-day tours of New Zealand and the Pacific Islands from October.
