Agree with all of the above, but wonder if it would be the same going straight to the Travel Agent, and not have the fun of going through loads of sites to find a bargain cruise, old habits die hard! but still good to dream!!!!!!

Like everyone else, my family would come first. I would make sure my boys were set for life and also help my disabled brothers in Glasgow. What joy it would be not to have worry about the bills - never! Then we could cruise whenever we wanted - bliss!

6th time so would take all the grandchildren on a Disney Cruise. buy myself a bakery shop as i make celebration cakes. but would take time out for a year just cruising. How Lovely. Good luck to him.

I too would share the money with our extended family, but especially with our two children and grandchildren. Charities would be next, the ones we already support and then a few more that I could take a personal interest in. If I really won big, I'd build a new hospice in our local town as they are trying to raise funds for a new building and it would be wonderful to just be able to say - go ahead and do it. Then it would be cruising, cruising and more cruising!! And wouldn't it be lovely to just be able to book the best suites and order fine wines without having to think about it. Although in real life it's actually rather nice to save up and then eagerly anticipate the next cruise. There is one cruiser who blogs on this site who shall remain nameless, but he seems to make a big deal about how rich he is, how many cruises he takes and it's always the biggest and the best - not a lot of humility there... If I ever did strike it really big I hope it wouldn't change me and that I wouldn't come to expect a better level of service just because staff knew they would get an enormous tip. And why is it that really rich people are sometimes so mean? Anyway, enough of that, back to reality, 4 night cruise on Eclipse coming up - yipee!

    Hello Jane,

I also replied to this thread earlier in similar vein to you, but actually your comment above says it all!

If we didn't have to save for our next cruise and all the anticipation that goes with it, would we enjoy it as much if we could go on any ship, any time at any cost?

I wonder & will probably carry on wondering!!

    Regards, Lizzie.

Hi Lizzie and Jane I agree with you both. I was made redundant a few months ago, which is putting our next cruise (only our second) in jeopardy. I have a job interview next Wednesday, which I really hope I get. If I get it, we should be ok to pay the balance in July, then we have until the end of September to get the "spends" together. It will be hard but so worth it if we can get on that ship (Azura) on 28th September.
How about a wee experiment? My interview is at 1.00pm on Wednesday 18th. If you all think positive thoughts for me and cross your fingers, toes, eyes and anything else you can think of, you might all bring me luck!!
We booked this cruise when we were on our first cruise last May, so have been looking forward to it for ages, it would be horrible if we couldn't go.

Hello wee annie, Sorry to hear about the redundancy, good luck for the interview next Wednesday 17th! Don't go on the 18th, you will be a day too late!

Hope all goes well and that you get your cruise.

    Regards, Lizzie.

    Hello Wee Annie

Yes, I second Lizzie, the very best of luck for Wednesday, I'll keep fingers and toes tightly crossed for you. Talking of toes, I'm actually involved in a charity do that evening. I teach an adult ballet excercise class and we're doing a couple of dances, this will probably be my very last public performance (can't defy age for ever!) so please, if your interview goes well, can you keep finger's crossed for my little troupe that we don't make complete fools of ourselves?!
