Another vessel joins excellence fleet
Following a successful seven-day cruise of the western Caribbean, the latest vessel to serve under Holland America Line's ship makeover incentive has returned.
The 1,260-passneger MS Ryndam now features several "enhancements" having been revamped under the operator's Signature of Excellence rennovation program.
Richard Meadows, executive vice president of marketing, sales and guest programs, said: "As the most recent ship to receive the new public areas and soft goods, the Ryndam looks wonderful and our guests will feel like they are sailing on a new ship."
Passengers sailing on the 55,819-ton vessel boarded to find the new Mix cocktail bar, complete with a grand piano and three separate areas for punters, as well as the Canaletto Italian restaurant, which had proved a hit with MS Eurodam holidaymakers.
Onboard facilities include a new shopping area, casino and the Culinary Arts Center, where the ship's "Party Planners" host a range of activities such as dancing and a book club.
The renovation forms part of a $525 million (£350 million) investment to update all vessels across the Holland America Line brand.
Have you been onboard one of the ships to have benefited from the Signature of Excellence programme? Was it indeed excellent?
