Times launches 'Epic' free cruise competition

With just 32 days remaining until Norwegian Cruise Line's (NCL) latest vessel, the Norwegian Epic sets sail, cruise lovers are being given the chance to ride the waves for free.

In a bid to find the travel journalists of the future, the Times has launched a special competition in which it will give one lucky cruise fanatic a two-day pass onboard the 4,200 passenger vessel.

The recipient will be invited to take part in the inaugural celebrations as the luxury liner arrives in Southampton on June 22nd ahead of for her debut ocean journey.

In exchange for the free ticket to ride, the winner will be asked to write a bespoke holiday review, coupled with a short video commentary on the vessel's maiden voyage.

To take part in the competition, people are asked to send their favourite cruise holiday snap to the news provider, coupled with a brief 50 word explanation about when and where it was taken.

The Norwegian Epic is NCL's biggest liner yet, with more than 21 dining options and a luxury spa boasting some 39 treatment rooms.

I was going to say Aplmac also. But Grant has a 35min. journey as against a 3.000 mile one. Think thats about right? But... they are both worthy contenders. Another one is Spartan. Hope one of them from our forum enters and wins. Carol
