Why do a themed cruise?
Themed cruises provide the opportunity to enjoy a favourite hobby, to learn new skills or just increase your knowledge. These cruises usually feature special guest speakers, performances by noted entertainers or related shore excursions and the chance to talk to leading figures in a particular field. You can also meet a variety of people who all share your passion. Of course this is more than enough reason to choose a themed cruise if there is one that caters for your hobby, but there is more. Due to the fact that it is the travel agents that arrange the themed groups with the cruise lines, there are some really cheap rates available. This means that anybody can book on to the cruise whether you like the theme or not, get a very good deal price wise and then get as involved or not as you like with the activities.
Has anybody done a themed cruise? Are they worth it or not?

Motown? Love it and would really enjoy a themed cruise. Fred Olsen had one a few years ago but heard nothing since?
