Red face Cunard for the Disabled

Guests with disabilities are welcome aboard Cunard ships. Wheelchair users however may experience some difficulties in accessing certain areas. Cunard suggest that the guest is accompanied by a companion. Cunard can't tender wheelchair confined passengers. There are lifts and accessible routes to all public areas and the vast majority of deck areas. Cunard have a number of adapted staterooms for wheelchair users across their fleet.
For most ports of call Cunard deploy a short ramped low level gangway to give wheelchair users easy access to shore. This isn't always the case so may not be able to go ashore.

Never flown from Gatwick but after clearing things with the airline, I then always pre arranged a chair/assistance etc with the airport when my mother needed one. VIP lounge or not, makes no difference to help offered. Took this off Gatwick's site for you ...Travel-Care is an independent agency offering assistance to anyone at London Gatwick Airport who may have a problem or need help. Travel-Care can be found in The Village, South Terminal.

    Open 09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday and 09:00 - 16:00 Saturday and Sunday.

    Telephone: +44 (0)1293 504283

It may help or at least point you in the right direction, if you see what I mean. J

Hi , have you told your TA to tell your cruise company for assistance at airport going and coming back, I have just returned and when you check in ask for assistance, or if you get to where you board the plane see the people on the desk there, they will arrange for someone to help you,, also tell your flight steward and they will arrange for someone to help you at the other end..

Once on board you will get as much help as you want, the staff will always help.

I wish a you good cruise, and your braver than i am for having the operation, I have spine disc problems as well
