Mobility scooter hire?
Hi,
My parents are cruising from Southampton on Independance of the Seas in May this year. Does anyone know if RCI provide mobility scooters to hire or of any other company that does this?
Thanks,
Nige.

Hi, not sure about RCI providing, but you can hire them - nation wide. Looked into this for my Mum once.
At that time I did a 'google' search and there were quite a few at reasonable costs. Have just looked now and picked one out see link:
Mobility Hire Products :: National mobility hire: Next day delivery
There are lots more by putting mobility scooters for hire into google.
Hope this helps
Lizzie.

RCCL do have mobility Scooters to Hire, their is a considerable charge for this. But bearing in mind these are compatible for Cruise Ships. Also the "Independence" is an easy ship to negotiate a Wheel Chair. As has been mentioned Hire is available elswhere, but for my part would go with the RCCL option.

Have seen quite few on ships and all either had brought their own or arranged a hire which they picked up at the ship. There is a limited number of wheelchairs on the ship but I know someone who asked RCI were told they were for emergencies, nevertheless I did see some cruisers with the ships chairs !!
