Try a Google search for Singles Cruises.
Unfortunately Cruise.co do NOT have a Solo Traveller section and indeed I have never seen a 'no single supplement' offer on this site!

    Solo call for help!

Once again the subject of solo travellers who wish to cruise rears its head and rightly so. Come on Cruise.Co, you see the evidence that a dedicated service is needed to cater for people who object to paying double price for what is very often inferior accommodation on cruise ships.

I have been a viewer of this site for a long time and have NEVER seen a single offer of even a reduced single supplement much less one for NO single supplement at all!

I remember when the Braemar was in it's first year of sailing it had one week when the cost was very low, I think about £299/399. When I rang to possibly book I was, of course, too late. I asked the person, out of curiosity, what the cost would have been had there been a vacancy. She told me I would have had to pay the normal price plus single supplement, taking it to over a £1000. Offer did not apply to single travellers

I know a number of single people in their 50's and 60's. widows, widowers, divorcies etc and not any of them have considered cruising as a holiday option. Since I have started cruising I have noticed that I am getting a increasing number of questions from them about the subject and this might indicate a potential demand which could be exploited.

I took the advice I found on the forums and now consider the cabin in the same way as a hotel room, you pay for the room and consider the single supplement as a discount!.

It goes like this. For a double cabin 2 people pay £1000 each which equals £2000. I pay £1000 plus a supplement of £300 so I am getting a discount of £700 and a double cabin all to myself.

On my next cruise the ship has no single cabins but I was surprised to find I could book a specific midships cabin on a middle deck well away from the engines. Hopefully this will be the cabin I get and they do not try and move me to a similar cabin in a noisier part of the ship.

My wife has decided that she does not want to go on any further cruises.

As such I am left in the position that if I want to go I need to go alone and have made some initial enquires as to cost of single cruising without any success to date.

Can anyone help with information as to which Companies carry single cruisers, any additional charges etc.
Page & Moy used to ask single cruisers if they were willing to share with people with similar backgrounds and interests. Because of the age of their clientele there were quite a few widows and widowers. There was a questionnaire to be completed to help the booking staff match people up. I thought it sounded a bit risky, but speaking to people on board it seemed to work well. I don't know if they still do it.
