Have a look at you will find the threads on single travellers
    Cruise Types & Themes (http://www.cruises.co.uk/45-cruise_types_themes)
Thank you Spartan, I have actually seen all of these threads (but do thank you for pointing them out) and indeed in the past started a 'petition' type thread to try and convince Cruise.co to issue offers for solo travellers which could appear on their home page beside 'Last Minute Cruise Deals" and "Insane Offers"
The petition received over 200 supportive answers in 2 days! I know that many hundreds of people viewed it who didn't bother to vote which I consider very short sighted because none of us know when travelling alone may be forced upon us, just like the chap who started this thread!

Have you ever seen an offer on this site specifically for No or Reduced single supplement cruises?

Firstly it was her decision that she does not want to cruise again not mine, secondly why should I deplive myself of my pleasure, thirdly what has it got to do with you and as we have been married for 48 years I think that answers your cheeky quesion as to why did I get married and finally by the tone of your comments you must be an extremely sad woman.

I see we now have an idiot from Edinburgh on the forums. Probably another kiddie playing while their mum is out.

No just a woman standing up for women everywhere! All these forums put me off cruising forever! There are so many nobs and pratts writing on these forums (mostly know it all, done it all, opinionated men) that I prefer the option of being able to get away from them than enduring company where someone dominates the conversation telling others what they should eat, see, do. Funny how most of the participants are men.

I so agree with you about the cost for single travellers. I have been holidaying solo for 10 years now and done three cruises on my own. Loved every minute but have had to deny myself the pleasure of certain places because of the cost. November 2011 I am hoping to go on Thomson's Red Sea Magic and mentioned it to a friend, who promptly said she would like to join me, I thought my first reaction would be, great! it will cost me less but, no, I realised that I would have to share a cabin. The only other downside is that I fancied the SMALL ship that only has 59 passengers but she is worried about being seasick. I'll still enjoy though. Thanks for the web address for the singles
    Hello,

I am doing that cruise next Month on my own !! I have paid £250.00 more than the original price for being Single. Still I intend to enjoy myself. Good Luck with yours too.

It's a pity there is'nt a forum just for women then, most women on here, and there are many, are capable of standing up for themselves, but in a pleasant and sociable way, the last thing they need is a spokes person.

Perhaps you should read some of the threads then you would find this out for yourself.

This forum as been of considerable help to me from both the men and women who participate, they are all friendly and go out of their way to assist newcomers to cruising.

I will not lower myself to be insulting as that's not what we do.

My apologies if I had offended but the way I read it you *seemed* to be a little aggressive in your replies. I don't think anyone has calculated the proportions of women/men on these forums but I would not be surprised if it was 50-50.

    Confused
    Carol, who is Carol?
Am I being told off or what? I thought I had explained my replies.
