    Free to Visit
    Sculpture:
    Vigeland Sculpture park ~ with 192 sculptures by Gustav Vigeland, the park is a great place for a picnic or walk (www.vigeland.museum.no)

    Money Savers
    The Oslo Pass gives free entry to 33 museums and attractions, free transportation on buses, trams, local trains, ferry boats and discounts at a number of restaurants.     The pass can be booked and paid for online then picked up at any tourist information office.

    Museums include: Vigeland Museum, The Viking Ship Museum,The Centre for design and art and the national museum which houses Edward Munchs The Scream (www.doga.no & www.nationalmuseum.no), The 13th Century Akershus Fortress and gardens give great views over Oslo Fjord (www.mil.no) you can also look round the Royal Palace, City Museum, Oslo city Hall & the Opera House.

    We visited Oslo didn't go to the sculpture park, but a couple on our table went and were a bit shocked by the sculptures they were all naked people the mans mother had recommended it and he was a bit surprised to say the least.......................Carol

    They were not all naked and the park is a must in my opinion. ....Neil

    If you buy the Oslo Pass at the cruise terminal, you get a good discount on the price.

    One thing to note - it does not save queueing time at the museums. You still have to go to each ticket office, show your pass and be issued with a free ticket each time.
