    Cruisers' Confession Booth

    Hello Folks

Whilst on a cruise, have any of you done anything that you have kept to yourself and feel a bit guilty about?

Would you like to 'fess-up' but don't want to bother a priest or phone Simon Mayo?

Why not 'get it off your chest' here. Big or small (your guilty secret..... not your chest), you'll feel better for it.

You never know..........your fellow cruisers may even offer you some forgiveness (or not...).

Only one (very small) thing springs to my mind............

Island Escape, Flamingo Deck, circa 2003......

I was walking past a suite where I knew from the 'Island Chat' that a couple were celebrating a special wedding anniversary. Pinned to the door were the obligatory bunch of balloons and ribbons.

Being a bit inquisative (ok....nosey) I wanted to read what was written on the big fancy balloon but to do this, I had to turn it around a bit.

    BANG!!!!!!!!!!!

Well.......... I didn't have to think. I felt I was 10yrs old again. The fight/flight mechanism kicked-in. I was off up that corridor like a frog up a pipe. Linford Christie eat your heart out.

I just got into the stair well when I heard the cabin door open.

I would like now to apologise to that couple and ask their forgiveness. (You never know.........It could have been Neil and Ida or Stan and May........even 'Curly and Sally').

I didn't mean to burst your balloon mister but I could have acted more like a man and stayed to face the music.

There............ I've said it. I feel much better now.

Anyone else feel like cleansing their soul a bit?

    Yours in suitable shame

    Bob

    Doh!

Maybe I've missed-out on all the girls' confessions then.

This might end up as 'bad boys' (if any are daring enough to tell).

We won the quiz on our last day on the Emerald two years ago. The quizzes appear to be repeated at fortnightly intervals and we arrived early enough, and left late enough, to have done it before (and remembered most of the answers).

The cabin next to ours was occupied by a couple in their early forties I should think. We only saw them out of their cabin a couple of times. Mostly they were on the balcony. Usually in dressing gowns.
Ate mostly in the cabin, often Champagne bottles left outside along with empty plates. Nearly all the time the 'Do not disturb' sign was on their door. Temptation got the better of me towards the end of the cruise, so I turned it round to 'Please make up my room' several times.
    Jealousy had crept in! :D

Hope your not thinking of me. :D

Ok then, I was wandering around one of the upper decks at the stern of Oceana with my
camera just after midnight one evening, and saw a couple making love in the pool - ok, that could happen to anyone, but the confession is, I sat down and watched them for twenty minutes. :D

O crikey, could that have been Marie as well.....

    Well done Jill

Now they're coming.......... some good ones too.

Just needed a bit of persuasion as only a woman knows how.
