Topic: Transfers in Venice

In September 2011 we are cruising on the Pacific Princess to the Black Sea. The cruise ends in Venice on 16th September. We are planning to stay in Venice for two nights (not with Princess Cruises). We have been quoted by our travel agent a price of £139.23 for transfer from the port to our hotel.

Has any one done the same thing, but at a cheaper price?

Better still is anyone on the same cruise willing to share a water taxi with us to their hotel?

I assume your price is for a private water taxi - they are as expensive as your quote suggests. Where is your hotel, however? It might be possible to do it cheaper, but not as easily or stylishly.
