Perhaps The Ruzzini Palace Hotel?
In a quiet but central part of Venice

We found this hotel to be excellent for the money, situated just by Piazzale Roma made ideal for getting about. We didn't eat, apart from a great breakfast, there but found some super places nearby and used the Vaporettos to get around.
The Papadopoli Venezia (4 Stars) was formerly the Sofitel and is now associated with AccorHotels “Made in Italy” quality group. The Papadopoli is a good choice if you are looking for an upscale hotel with a concierge, restaurant, bar and other services. Its location is right behind the public gardens next to the Piazzale Roma.
(The bridge that leads to it has a gentle incline, making it easy to negotiate with luggage.)
Hope that helps. ....Neil

We stayed at Hotel Rialto, it was fab. Is very central, right next to The Rialto Bridge on the Grand Canal.
Our room overlooked the Grand Canal, but not all the rooms do.
The poached eggs for breakfast are delicious !!
