Hello Magsy, I should take some 'stugeron' for him, just in case, they have worked for me in the roughest of seas!

Looks like you are sailing at 17.00 hours on the 24/4 & returning on the 26th. See this link to the Southampton cruise schedule:

Southampton VTS - Cruise Ship Schedule

Hopefully it will be flat calm.

    Regards, Lizzie
Thanks Lizzie, I have now bookmarked that site for future reference! I have a plentiful supply of Stugeron at the ready but I honestly don't think we will need it! He has been on ferries to Ireland and France and Norway before and he never batted an eyelid, while I felt quite queasy so I will keep my fingers crossed! Seasickness is not a pleasant affliction so I will keep everything crossed for him!
Hopefully we will not go anywhere near the Bay!
    Thanks again!
    Magsy

I have decided that Stan is definitely not good for my health!!! My financial health that is!
I have looked out a selection of three posh frocks for the formal night and had pretty much decided to just take them all and choose on the night (If that isn't rampant CED then what is?) when Stan decided to remind me of the existence of TK Max and now the blood is on a slow boil until I reach that emporium! Do I need any more frocks? Absolutely not! Can I resist? We will see! Oh heck, I am in a quandary and we are just at the first night! Last time I had a look in TK Max just after Christmas they had a fantastic selection of gowns!

There will be a special dinner that night after the naming ceremony and you will get to take the menu away as a keepsake, o what a wonderful life;) Just had a thought all your onboard spend is FREE least it was with us
Bill, as an old hand at Celebrity launches (well Equinox at least!), did you have any luggage restrictions? I would prefer that we take one large suitcase rather than two smaller ones, but it seems like the trip on MSC Magnifica had luggage restrictions. Your first hand knowledge would be greatly appreciated and any other advice would be most welcome!

How very kind of you both and what a lovely gesture. We are actually setting off on Thursday, overnighting at Towcester, carrying on (on Friday) to Christchurch, Hants for another flying visit and then an easy jaunt of around 30 miles to the ship on Saturday and coming back via Portskewett in Wales on the route back. So on this occasion everything is mapped out but I am most appreciative of your offer, so so kind of you. Perhaps on some future occasion. Tomorrow, when my brain is fresher, I will attempt to send you a Private Message. I will attempt it anyway! If I don't succeed I will contact some knowledgeable person at Cruisedot and find out how to do it! Once again, thank you so much! Magsy

Up to now I'm reading that the women are planning on getting something glam for the Formal night.
Can you tell me what the men will be wearing ? I was taking it forgranted that a suit would do but on the Magnifica thread I read that the Cruise dot folk didn't know there would be a formal night and that in the photo/video you could see some men in a tux.
So what will the men wear - a suit or a DJ ?
    Many thanks

    Hi
On Magnifica we took 1 small suitcase + suit/dresses in M+S suit carriers, the ones you get when you buy a suit.No problems.
