    Following great demand, Celebrity has decided to offer it's passengers a selection of alcoholic drinks packages.

    Premium & Classic Beverage Packages from £9.75 per night

    Taste of the Vineyards Package from £74 per package

    Stateroom Bar Setup from £52 per package

    Riedel Wine Glass Comparative Workshop

    They're also offering the following soft drink packages:

    Fountain Soda Package from £3.75 per night

    Premium Water Package from £8.25 per night

    Beverage packages must be pre-reserved a minimum of four days before your sail date on line. To purchase products onboard, please visit the Guest Relations desk for more information.
    I have just been trawling through the packages and trying to establish whether or not they include items from the mini bar and room service. After all it does state all drinks up to a certain value.

    However I have come across the following information which has purportedly come from celebrity:

    The drinks packages are for the bars, theatres and restaurants only. They
    do not apply to mini bars or room service.

    I tried costing/booking the wine package online the other day but it stated that it ws not up and running yet! I will wait for another week or two and try again. we bought a similar package on RCI legend of the seas a few years ago and found that we saved a good few dollars.

    don't want to work, just want to cruise.

    I know it's costly, but my wife & I are on eclipse in August, and going for the beer, wine, spirit, specialality coffee and water package at something like £38 per day per person. The way I see it, is that our 2 week cruise has something like 8 days in total at sea, 2 day stopover in Palma, so would probably stay on board then. Also, a couple of beers during the day, g & t before dinner, wine with meal, drinks at shows, cocktail before bed, it soon mounts up. The extra would mean we're pretty much all inclusive. Expensive, yes. But once paid, can forget about what we spend.

    Issy or should I call you Alex........I'm never sure. Help Me!

    The wine packages on RCI are quite good value, or should I rephrase that to worth considering. I know I always purchase a package with them.

    I can't say the same about the wine deals on Celebrity.

    Personally I wouldn't bother........and that's coming from a regular wine drinker.

    We were (wife and I) on the Celebrity Eclipse for an 11 night cruise earlier this month and took a Classic drinks package each. I am sure they are all much the same on each ship. You can only order one drink per package at any one time. Our package cost about about US$490 (inc 15% service charge) each but this allows you to have any drinks to a certain value (roughly wines and spirits to $8 and beers, soft drinks coffees to $5) at any bar or restaurant any time. It also allows you to have bottled water, soft drinks, smoothies, fruit juices and premium coffees in the cafe.

    Examples of Prices from memory:

    Can of Coke = $2

    Glass of Shiraz = $8

    Glass of Chardonnay = $7.5

    Bottle of Corona = $5

    Latte = $4

    Large Evian = $4

    Smoothie =$4

    G an T $8 (Tenquery)

    You also need to add 15% to the above for service charge. The drinks are all good brands and the measures free pour and generous! There was some moaning about prices so we were pleased that we had taken care of this aspect for the whole cruise and were effectively "all inclusive". There are non alcoholic drinks packages which I think are also good value.

    We are not serious drinkers but do like a couple of G and Ts before dinner, wine with our meal and coffeee and brandy after. Perhaps a cocktail during the day and lots of bottled water, lattes and soft drinks. We broke even on the package after 7 days without trying too hard and only had what we would normally have had on a hotel holiday

    I still cannot get full info on Celebrity site re how many bottles do I get for for the starting price of £78.50? if it's 3 then we are better off buying wine as and when but if it's for 5 bottles and includes 15% tip then that is good value. Issy :D

    Lots of choice, generous pourings. Good brands and good quality. Shiraz for me and Pinit Grigio or Chardonnay for my wife. Wife very fussy about wine, but amazingly no problems. Also they had 5 or 6 different wines within the price range so not "house" only.
    Service and attitude was excellent, and occasionally had to decline offers for refills. It was clear on a couple of occasions that the staff were not sure about the packages and entitlements. You will never be asked to sign for anything within the package so if you think it is in the package and you sign for it, you will see it on your bill.
    Recommend Ensemble lounge for pre and post dinner drinks

    Thanks for the info worth some consideration I think.

    Re wine package I'm pretty sure the starting package was for three bottles when I enquired about it. It also included wine that didn't interest me. On saying that a bottle was approx $30 plus 15% Starting price and we ended up spending a small fortune over two weeks !
