Cruising on Eclipse in October, can anyone tell me difference between a 1A, 1B & 1C cabin all on the same deck ie Vista ?

I would say it was just the position of them that separates the categories.

Some will be 3 berth or 4 berth for people with children.

Mostly about position with a few being a little larger. We had the last one before the back which was 1A because the balcony was larger only because of the bulkhead.

1A & 1B are the most desirable standard balcony cabins. Pull up the deck plans and note that 1B's are on the 'Hump' the bit that sticks out giving you privacy from the rest of the deck.

1A's are on the angled bit that give you a slightly bigger balcony........even better!

I am not aware of any 1C's on Vista Deck as these are cabins partially obstructed by the lifeboats (Deck6)

1A's and 1B's are the ones to go for.

Its the 2C's (not 1C's) which are partially obstructed by lifeboats. The 1C's on Vista Deck 8 are on the indent which when you look directly down will look on the roofs of the lifeboats which come up to the floor of deck 6.

The 1B and 1A are on the hump. The angled ones on the hump the 1A's tend to have bigger balconies because of the shape.

In my view the first 1A cabin angled away from the hump is the best of these as you will be able to see up and down the full length of the ship as well as enjoying the extra balcony size.

I was lucky enough to be upgraded to one of these on my first trip on Eclipse and have booked another in exactly the same position for next year.

    Cruising my way through life!

My booking details show 1C/8260 which according to all the deck plans I have seen show it on Vista as the 1st one in the rear of the angle.

Yep, it's just the location. We had a 1B this year (9229), next year, we have booked 9207 and 9270 because they are great being near the main lifts and bigger balconies, being on the hump (one of the facing forward and one behind). 9229 had the super flushing highway pipe near the bathroom I'm sure, there was loads of toilet flushing sounds! As long as you kept the door shut it was ok. Also this cabin has door opening inwards (interconnecting room shown on the deck plans). I think a door opening outwards would be more spacious. We had 2 children in our cabin, was a bit of a squeeze...
