Royal Cunard Nights
I was reading last week the latest news about the entertainment on board the new Queen Elizabeth. One of the show productions is going to be a 60's themed night called London Swings and it is classed as a Cunard Royal night. Now in my past experiences on Cunard, the royal nights are usually formal nights. I was wondering if this is still so?
I have written to ask Cunard but had no reply. Just wondered if anyone can confirm if this will be a formal night.I would like to know as I have to pack accordingly. Mini skirt or a long shift?

This is only a guess but as the formal nights on cunard are sometimes combined with theme nights i.e. Victorian ball, masked ball, Easter bonnets etc I suppose the 60's themed night might also be on a formal night hence it being classed as a Cunard Royal night. As you say it will make picking an outfit difficult but, apart from black and white night, usually only a small minority do the complete dressing up bit then most will be in their formal gear. Sorry, not much help really but I'm sure you will have a great time whatever the outcome.

Thank you Waterbaby, I go along with what you say entirely as I am used to sailing on Cunard. I like to dress up for formal nights, but I was thinking I may do the 60's thing as it is fun. I have taken masks for the masked balls in the past and not used them and I have taken a hat for the hat ball, but just was wondering about the 60's theme as there was such a huge selection of clothes choice for that era. I need to give it some thought as I want to get it right. I have plenty of ideas as I was a mod in the 60's. My concern is if I dress in sixies style most of the clothes were short or mini skirts and on formal night most people wear long or calf length dresses.
