Strangly enough, I don't have any problem with her at all. In fact, I feel sorry for her...and my tin hat's at the ready now.:D
Hi Morton, like you, I have not only tin hat but also flak jacket on!I have no problem with her, indeed I think she dealt well with the unpleasant treatment she has received over the years. She is clearly good for the POW and if that makes him better at his job, that'l do for me. I've seen them together on a couple of occasions(we live close to the Duchy holdings in Devon) and they do seem totally relaxed together--a real couple in a way he never appeared with poor little Diana.

I have never met her, but we have a mutual friend living in Corsham who has considerable fondness and some admiration for her. Cynthia

I can't stand either of them and I think at the moment the pair of them look as miserable as sin. I think they would have been happier staying as they were but Charlie boy seemed to want to prove he could get his own way over anything.
Long live the Queen I say!

She did Neil, and whether you like her or not she spent ages speaking with the veterans of the St Nazaire raid,, a very understanding and sypathetic lady, and our new St Mawes ferry is named after her. CG
I am sorry CG you sort of missed the point of my joke

I am a Royalist at heart but there is no such a person as the Duchess of Cunard, I was just playing with words......badly it seems. .....Regards. Neil

Sorry Neil I missed the joke, unusual because I enjoy your type of dry humour however, you must be slipping Neil because I didn't pick it up. CG

I have met them both at various reunions and dedications, and I have never seen anyone put people at their ease as those two when mixing with the servicemen, they are knowledgeable and more to the point genuinely interested, in the various topics being discussed.
As for Charles, he attends more of these events than any goverment ministers ,how many of these do you see at Wooton Bassett . No you can revile them as much as you like, but you can't fault them when they are doing their duties.
As for protection I would rather pay for their protection, than Blair's ,etc.
