Is anyone going on the Grand princess on 8th May 2010??
Is anyone going on the Grand princess on 8th May 2010??
No but we are goin 10th July 2010, as its one week before school hols got 90% off the kids fares rather than the 45% after the 17th. Recommended ship by our agent who has been on this ship before
Hi it is good to hear that the ship has been recommended to you by someone who has been on it.
This is my first cruise so although i am very excited i am also a bit aprehensive after reading many reviews about the Grand Princess.
Obviously everyone's expectations are different and what is great for one person is not right for another.
One thing which has concerned me, is a review about the very cabin B431 that we have booked it didn't sound very favourable.
Has anyone stayed in this cabin, can you reassure me it is ok for three adults??
Have just seen this after replying to your query under Cabin B431. Read that for all details. You will need to be organised about washing and changing for 3 adults in these cabins and if its a pull down bed, capable of climbing the ladder!!

This cabin is on Baja, right by the lifts midships and is suitable for three or four. If my memory serves me, they have fold down bunks above the usual twin beds.
When going from main dining room to the theatre for the show use outside decks to avoid bottleneck by photo gallery and tables outside shops.
Shows are usual quite full twenty minutes before.
Other than these two point the Grand is a great ship
Thanks for the info. Now to decide who will sleep up top!!!! ha ha
You might get more responses if you ask for this to be moved to the 'Roll Call' section of the forum where people going on the same cruise can chat.
Princess and Cunard are quite different, the dress code on the Grand is a lot less strict, I have seen T-shirts in the restaurant on a formal night. Having said that I have been on the Grand twice now so its doing something right! If you like steak then do try the Sterling Steak house (small cover charge) the garlic chips are to die for!
Cruiser when possible

I'll agree with Mike its a noice ship, but I wish they would bring the Coral or Sea princess back for 2011
