We were on the same cruise as you and after reading all the horror stories in the last couple of weeks I was dreading it as I was taking my 70 year old parents and my 12 year old son with me and was worried. We also had a great time, the staff were excellent, the majority of the entertainment was first rate (not impressed with the males comedians) and the food was great.

This is not the first time I have cruised but was the first time with Princess and I would return to the Grand Princess anytime!

    Teddikins and Jennab,

It's great to hear that everything seems to be back to normal on Grand Princess and you had a great cruise. It is a pity so many people were worried before their holiday. The good reviews from the last couple of cruises will re-assure those still to go.

I must say though that some of the reviews from the 2 cruises where the Norovirus was present were justified. Lots of comments have been made about 'moaners' but I can assure you that a lot of the complaints were justified. I love this ship but have to say it was not the best cruise I've been on, even apart from the Norovirus. I did feel sorry for those who had not experienced it at it's best for their first time on it. I also did feel sorry for the hard working staff who were working in difficult conditions.

It is a different Captain onboard now and thankfully things seem to have greatly improved.
