Princess Cruises has launched a sale to promote its itineraries in the Caribbean.

The operator announced that it would be offering "significant savings" on select voyages in 2010 and 2011, allowing travellers to "enjoy tropical paradise for extraordinary value".

A seven-day western Caribbean cruise on Crown Princess features in the sale, as well as a 14-day 'Caribbean collection' holiday on Grand Princess.

Jan Swartz, executive vice president of Princess Cruises, said: "Our relaxed cruising style in the Caribbean makes for the perfect getaway from hectic everyday life.

"With a welcoming atmosphere, spectacular ships and engaging diversions, Princess is certainly the ultimate way to escape completely to this tropical paradise."

The company also announced recently that it would be expanding its Canada and New England programme to include a selection of summer sailings in 2011.

Providing an increase in capacity of almost 30 per cent, the new itineraries will feature calls in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and other popular ports in the region.
