My guess is the ship is booked out to the Queen every year now and is not made available for that period. It is just a guess though, so if someone knows better let's hear it. As to 'her dysfunctional family', are they really so dysfunctional compared to the rest of us? Do you have a perfect family JC?Jane

Sorry, I am one of the millions who don't read the Daily Mail, as I can think for myself, and at the risk of turning this thread even more political than it is I can also see for myself the mess your favourite party has made of running the country, it’s there for all to see, and speaks for itself
In my view the Mail readers don't need educating its the "whatever the cost" Labour supporters who need the educating.
The taking away of Britannia was absolute vindictiveness by a party that have been brought up to dislike their betters, Royalty, and their country.
And as I said last year when the same accusations were levelled at the Queen, I am sure that she does not realize that other Hebridean customers have been, as you put it "Turfed off" when she said she wanted a holiday on the Hebridean Princess
I am quite sure the limp wristed lackeys around her told her "ok leave it to us" it will be booked, while Hebridean lines must have been taking provisional bookings while having a very good idea that the palace would be booking a similar date to last year.
It must be difficult to organize a holiday for all your immediate family all who work, including those who work on behalf of our country.
The Queen has the wherewithal and the staff to be able to successfully complete this logistical exercise, and if I had the means and the opportunity to do the same, in order to have my family with me on holiday I most certainly would, and I am sure that 90% of the populous would also, and the first in line would be the lot who don't believe in Have and Have Not.

<P>I love the "stirrers" on this forum, they often state the most daft opinions. Like JC Liverpool, very anti royalty and every thing else. I bet he was one of the dockers still on picket duty years after the dockers had lost their cause of obstructing progress. Keep hold of the spoon lads.<IMG class=inlineimg alt=0 src="http://www.cruises.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif" border=0 smilieid="1"><IMG class=inlineimg alt=0 src="http://www.cruises.co.uk/images/smilies/smile.gif" border=0 smilieid="1"></P>
I didnt like John Prescott in the ermine - fancy him being a Lord something he swore he would never do - Lord Blair will be next.
