Glad to hear from you again Coralie. Hope you had a great time. Sounds as if you had a nasty experience on the plane, but good to hear how helpful they all were. I am beginning to think it is more luck than judgement as to how good the plane is. It sounds as if there are still some older planes out there, and just hope we have the one you had and their crew.

Can't wait to hear all about your cruise and what you did.

    Best wishes

We went on Thomas Cook charter to the CaribbeAN ON 19TH DEC TO the Sea Princess ...the 10 hour flight was luxurios to say the least ...the staff were fabulous, nothing was too much trouble ... the food , oh god it was plentifull and scrumptous ... and my lead didnt work on the sound, and they offered me an upgrade !!! i thanked them , but managed to get it done ...cant recommend this plane and its crew enough , especially as i got ill , couldnt breath with 3 hours to go to montego bay , they got me oxygen...and were just so helpfull !! and it was 3 3 3 ... plenty of leg room ... five toilets ... definatley best weve ever flown !! i have no fear of flying ....love it .. thank you so much Thomas Cook ...you made our xmas and new year the best ever! Coralie n Dave .... nuneaton
Thanks Coralie.I'll make sure we're at the airport in plenty of time so hopefully we don't get split up. That does not do my confidence any good when flying across an ocean!!!
We're staying at the Holiday Inn (I think you go underneath the runway to get to it!) the night before. We fly out 27th March. A colleague of mine (her first cruise bless her!) flies out a week before.

We too are off to Montego Bay on 27th March - via Thomas Cook out of Manchester. Have used them before via P & O. Not the grearest of experiences so we have paid extra for premium this time. I understand it is not so cramped as it was a few years ago. We usually DIY with trips so happy to contact to make up a taxi full. I do agree that sometimes it is safer to use Cruise excursions. We have booked the whale watching in Dominica as it would seem impossible to arrange privately and it is something we would love to see. We have also booked the trip in Samana as all the write ups making Samana sound a little grim so going to use the Princess trip as it gives a level of protection.

We're going on the 4x 4 adventure in Samana and the baths at Virgin Gorda (Tortola). My partner has a short attention span and so we're going to book some more tours when we board!!!!

I understand Wigan is not that far from Manchester Airport?

We're from East Yorkshire and are staying at the Holiday Inn the night before - which I'll enjoy as it will feel like my holiday is starting a day early!!

    3 weeks and 5 days to go!:D

Not long now, and counting. We used to live in Scarborough before we had to defect to Lancs ( job necessity).

Last time we were in Tortola we went to Virgin Gorda. We did it ourselves via a boat trip. Got some good photos although we did not have a really long time there. Great hot dog & beers at the beach bar.Memorable.

We want to share a taxi in Antigua & St Maarten as would like to visit Marigot. Husband not keen on visiting the jewellers again. Still getting over the last visit.

We flew with Thomas Cook out of Manchester - Sea Princess flight. There are several Princess check-in desks at the airport. We did arrive early and had no problem getting seats together. However, one family, arriving late were given 4 seats at the end of each row behind each other. Note - you are allocated the same seats on return. The flight was good - normal charter but with free drinks! Food okay - will suit some but not others. We had no problem with leg room but I believe you can contact Thomas Cook and arrange to pay extra for more. Excellent service - had over suitcases at Manchester and the next time you see them is in the cabin.

hi hilton is nearest hotel but rooms are tiny its a non smoke hotel but the soffitel much nicer junior suites are huge and you can get smoking room if prefered unsure of travel to terminals now the monorail is shut bus is replacing it but with cruise luggage maybe a taxi would be easier. As to flights only had one bad flight when they chartered a non thomas cook plane other than that meals are small so good breakfast is a good idea airport cheaper than hotels charge about 18-20 pounds not worth it. hope this was helpfull....

Flght to Montego Bay 24 April to join the Sea Princess

I booked directly with Princess and was asked which airline I would like, Thompsons or Thomas Cook I booked the Thomas Cook flight with premium economy. I do not know what seats we have yet. I also asked which aircraft they were using to find out what the seating was across the plane. I cannot remember which plane it is but the seating, I was told was 2 - 3 in the middle - 2.

I dont think you are able to prebook your seats as they block book them. But it is worth a try, I am going to tel them a month before and ask the flight number and if I can book my seats, or request a preferred seat.
