Just read a really terrible review of Sea Princess. I hate it when that happens!

Hi Cal just another little bit of advice, do you know that you are automatically
debited $10.5 dollars a day per person to your ship board account. Not sure if children are charged this but if they are this is $42 dollars per day or $560 dollars for the cruise.
Don't panic because you can get round this by immedately you are on board go to the pursers desk and tell them you want to make your own arrangments. They will ask you to sign a waiver form, don't worry because there will be a queue of people doing the same. Derek (Castleford)

Thanks for that Derek, we did get a bit of a shock about the tips proceedure because it does include the children. Thanks for all your help.

The bad review was entitled something like 'Just returned from Sea Princess and not impressed' by Clio 357 - It sound like the poor lady had a bad time because her son had become very ill and she hadn't received the help from the staff which she expected. Also there was bad reports about the 24 hour buffet - is this something that most people avoid or am I reading too much into it?

You know what it's like, you can read hundreds of great reviews and as soon as you find one bad one panic sets in!!

Don't worry about the 24 hour buffet. It is located in the Horizon Court. In 2006 the food in the Horizon Court was very good and also in 2008. In 2008 some food was adapted to the englisch people. For exemple for breakfast you could order american bacon or canadian bacon or english bacon. I can remember they also served porridge for breakfast. The food quality and the food selection was in 2006 and 2008 really good. In 2008 you also could get afternoon tea in the Horizon Court.

Hi Cal, you must be getting bored with all these messages. The 24 hour buffet which Weedy says is fantastic. For instance for breakfast there is every item you can thing of to choose from and the difference from going into one of the main dining rooms (waiter service) is that you can put as much of what you like on your plate, if you don't like it you can leave it and go and get something else. One halve of the buffet closes down at certain times through the day so they can change from one meal to another i.e. from breakfast to lunch.
Also through out the day there is a burger bar and a pizza bar which are very good so the children should never go hungry, after saying that i love burgers so i usually have at least one a day. Hope this puts your mind at ease. Regards Derek

cal, at the burger bar you will get waffles and omelets in the morning for breakfast and believe me the pizzas which are served for lunch, in La Scala Pizzeria on Dolphin Deck, are like real italien pizza.

Both my husband and myself are soooo hungry - we've been on a diet for 3 weeks ( just so we can fit as much food in as possible ) I am now dreaming of burgers and pizza etc. Just hope my dresses and his suit will still fit after the first week!!
