    F olsen v p&o

SAILED ON THE BOUDICCA LAST YEAR TO SPITZBERGEN FOUND THE SHIP TO BE OVERCROWDED DUE TO THE OUTER DECKS OUT OF USE DUE TO COLD WEATHER. OVER 800 PASSENGERS ON BOARD TOO MANY, FOOD AVERAGE. HAVE SAILED ON AURORA AND ORIANA THE SMALLER OLDER SISTER SHIPS OF P & O. BEAUTIFULLY FITTED OUT VERY COMFORTABLE. FOOD BETTER THAN F OLSEN, DRINK PRICES REASONABLE AND THE SHIPS MORE LUXURIOUS WITH A LOT MORE PASSENGER SPACE THAN THE BOUDICCA. EVERYBODY TO THEIR OWN CHOICE IF YOU DONT LIKE THE BIGGER SHIPS THESE TWO P & O SHIPS TAKE SOME BEATING. tHE SAGA SHIPS ARE ALSO BETTER THAN
    F OLSEN

    There's no need to shout...

Of course getting to Spitzbergen with P&O might have been a problem.

I am just in that quandary as well. Hav e done three cruises with P_&O - 2 on Artemis - both fantastic and one on Azura - hated it :-( So just considering a cruise to West Africa on Braemar. We are 64 and 72, but don't let that fool you. We like to party, stay up late and dance. Also like doing our our excursions. Just can't make up my mind about this small ship.

Amazed that you feel confident enough to make a judgement about me and my level of fitness, and ability to walk up and down stairs.
If you can't walk down stairs then it may not be long until you need to use the very aids you complain about

My view on this is to go and try it. Although people say they like one company and not another is because they have a good experience or bad experience therefore tainting future experiences.

I have cruised on both Fred Olsen and P&O. My first time was with a small child but latter no children. I have picked the cruise and cruise ship accordingly.

I like the smaller ships and less children, that doesn't count out P&O as they have their smaller ships that are adult only, although their small ships are bigger than Fred's.

I enjoyed Braemar but didn't enjoy Boudicca as much, that doesn't mean I will not travel again on Fred or Boudicca. The destination is one of the main factors for me.

We're planning on a North Cape trip next year, one company that goes there is Celebrity, their ships are very big, I'm not saying I will not go with them, I may, it depends on the itinerary, dates and price, if I go with them I'll give my opinion on the Cruise and the Ship, not the company Celebrity as the next Cruise and next ship with be a completely different experience.
