    Boudicca bug strikes again...

13 passengers are confined to their cabins aboard Fred. Olsen's Boudicca, following another outbreak of Norovirus.

Unfortunately, the situation has been worsened by "very stormy" conditions in the eastern Mediterranean, causing many people to suffer from sea-sickness.

"Every feasible precaution is taken to prevent any gastro-type virus being introduced," a spokeswoman told the BBC.

"There are constant reminders to everyone to pay particular attention to personal hygiene, but the effectiveness is only as good as the co-operation of the people concerned."

It suprises me just how many blind people cruise these days, you see them in the toilets, MDR's and buffet areas and none of them can see the washing facilities or sterile hand dispensers. Amazing or what.

I have never met a blind person on any cruise that I have been on, but it must be hard for them to get around the ship unless they have someone with them. How would they find the heads ?? how do they use the buffet ?? I am sure the cruise line would insist on having someone with them to provide help as needed, or am I wrong ??

Or is it just that freak blindness (like the deafness children get when you ask them to tidy up?) that comes on when they think I'm not dirty, I'm not the one spreading diseases!

These are the people I presume that complain the loudest and most aggressively when they do end up coming down with noro, or who decide not to stay in their cabin and spread the bug around for everyone else?

We are all atheists about most of the gods that humanity has ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further.

    It is probably 'selected' blindness.
